28 Oct UNEMPLOYMENT IN #THURROCK DOWN BY HALF SINCE 2010
Thurrock MP Jackie Doyle-Price has welcomed the latest employment figures which show that unemployment has fallen by half in Thurrock since 2010. In September 2016 the number of claimants listed in Thurrock was 1639. This is 1656 less than in September 2010. Jackie said, “These figures prove what we know. Our economy is becoming stronger and here in Thurrock the rate of job creation is extremely strong. The future has never been brighter for our community.”
In September 2016 there were 1639 claimants in Thurrock. In 2010 there were 3295. This represents a fall of 1656 or 50%.
This is also a fall of 89 compared with September in 2015, a 5% fall
