24 Aug #Southend: @southessexcoll student gets golden A-Level results
It’s been a golden day for a South Essex College student as she achieved great grades in her A-Level results.
Hollie Sales, 19, from Westcliff, achieved A*A*A in Law, Psychology and Sociology. She’ll now go on to study Law at the University of Essex.
Hollie said: “I’m just so happy, I put in a lot of work and had to deal with some personal struggles this year. I was panicking so much before opening the envelope but now I feel great!
“The teachers have been really supportive. I’m excited to look to the future now, my ultimate dream is to go on to get a Masters and a PHD so I can call myself a Doctor.”
With this year’s results coming out during the Rio 2016 Olympics, all students were striving for their personal top podium spot, whether it be achieving A grades or getting into the university of their dreams.
Students who didn’t get the results they expected or needed to get into university need not panic. It’s not too late to apply through the UCAS Clearing system. More than 60,000 applicants a year secure a higher education place through Clearing at various universities and colleges, South Essex College is no exception.
