07 Dec #Southend schoolgirl to perform English National Ballet’s adaptation
A 13-year-old schoolgirl from Southend will be performing in the English National Ballet’s adaptation of The Nutcracker at the Coliseum in London next month.
Kyanne Cheung, who is a student at the prestigious Tring Park School of Performing Arts in Hertfordshire, will be part of the ensemble of party children and mice performing in The Nutcracker.
Kyanne is studying dance at Tring Park, whose alumni include Lily James (Disney’s Cinderella and Juliet in Kenneth Branagh’s Romeo and Juliet at the Garrick), Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Ella Henderson (The X Factor) and Drew McOnie (Olivier Award-winning choreographer).
The Nutcracker
On a sparkling Christmas Eve in a frost-dusted Edwardian London, Clara and her enchanted Nutcracker doll discover a magical world, where she battles with the Mouse King and meets a handsome stranger. As the air grows colder, Clara and her valiant Nutcracker take a hot air balloon ride across London to the glistening Land of Snow where her adventure really begins.
Kyanne will be performing in The Nutcracker at the Coliseum in London from 20 to 24 December and 3 to 7 January 2017.
