17 Oct #Southend: Pc Phil Collie named Public Hero 2016
Essex Police has thanked everyone who took the time to vote for their Essex Police Public Hero 2016.
The winner of the prestigious award was Pc Phil Collie from the Local Policing Team in Southend!
Pc Collie was nominated for his tireless work to combat drug dealing in the town. His nominator said: ““Despite the huge pressure the police is under, Pc Collie has worked tirelessly on this issue. He has only ever shown kindness and understanding and his impressive service surpasses all expectations.”
Chief Constable Stephen Kavanagh presented him with a trophy at the Essex Police Awards 2016 on the evening of Tuesday, October 11, 2016.
Amongst those shortlisted were police officers and members of police staff who you feel deserve recognition for dedication to the community they serve, bravery or going that extra mile to do something really special.
