08 Sep Royal staff ‘really upset’ over Queen’s ill-health
A FORMER butler to Prince Charles said royal staff are “extremely upset” and that the news about the Queen’s health is seen as very serious.
Grant Harrold told GB News: “I’m actually really upset. I’ve just spoken to somebod and they were really upset on the phone.
“This is really serious…there’s something really serious going on. I hope I’m wrong, I pray I’m wrong.’
Speaking in an exclusive interview with GB News, he said: “She is a lady that does not like fuss, the same as her late husband.
“They enjoy a family get together but they don’t make any fuss, she doesn’t want any fuss, any kind of panic.
“She wouldn’t want the family being called up there because she’s aware that that will cause a lot of concern…
“She has got the right people around her. I’ve been aware, I think many of us, that she’s not been a well lady for quite a while now.
“But it’s just you just kind of hope and pray that this is just something that she can overcome.”
Mr Harrold added: “Obviously she’s got her own private doctor and people that do travel with her in case there is a medical emergency, and those are the people that know her best.
“The fact that obviously they’ve raised concerns about health, again, this wouldn’t be taken lightly.
“The news that she wasn’t attending the Privy Council, that’s not taken lightly because these are things that we don’t really need to know.’
