30 Dec Meet the Winner of The Golden Key To Talliston: Felicity Smith, Aged 12.
Hasn’t every child wished to find a golden ticket inside a chocolate bar and be whisked away to a magical world inside their favourite storybook?
Well that is exactly what has happened to 12-year-old Felicity Smith from North Somerset, UK.
This summer, her grandmother bought a copy of John Tarrow’s fantasy adventure story, The Stranger’s Guide To Talliston. There in the back was a ticket to a grand draw called The Golden Key To Talliston. This annual prize draw, drawn on 6th October every year, came with a very special prize for one lucky 11-16-year-old: a private and exclusive week-long holiday inside Talliston – the magical house and gardens featured in The Stranger’s Guide To Talliston.
KEY TO BE PRESENTED BY THE MAYOR OF DUNMOW
Felicity and her grandmother will be arriving in the Ancient Flitch town in April 2020 to claim their prize over the Easter school holidays. And when they arrive, Cllr Emma Marcus, Mayor of Dunmow will be there to meet them to present the Golden Key to Talliston personally.
