07 Nov Make a standout ‘Mo-mentary mark’ this November in support of men’s health
Movember continues to challenge the status quo by inspiring open and honest conversations about men’s health with the simplest and most classic of icebreakers – the moustache, but fear not, this year, if a bro can’t grow a mo, no problemo!
For the first time ever, to mark this year’s fundraising efforts and celebrated symbol, the moustache, the global leading men’s health charity, Movember, is encouraging as many people as possible to get involved in spreading awareness and driving conversation around the importance of supporting men’s health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer by sporting a temporary tattoo.
To launch the annual fundraising campaign, BAFTA-winning actor Will Poulter has joined forces with Movember to help change the face of men’s health. Will opted to support this year with the exclusive celebrity designed temporary tattoo.
The tattoo was made available to the public and designed by artist to the stars, Dan Gold, who has inked a selection of stars from Britney Spears to Kate Moss. The designs include the classic ‘Mo’, as well as a decorative design featuring a dapper English gentleman sporting an iconic tasche.
Will Poulter shared: “I am supporting Movember to raise awareness of the difficulties a lot of men face when talking about their mental health. It’s a cause I’ve backed for a long time but sadly I’ve always struggled to grow a decent Mo. However, this year everyone is able to get involved by sporting their very own Mo-Mentary mark to remove the stigma that surrounds men’s mental and physical health issues”.
Movember CEO, Michelle Terry commented: “This year we wanted to do something big to draw attention to the current men’s health crisis. Mo, or no mo, our 2022 campaign aims to get people talking to ultimately make a difference. It’s great to see famous faces putting on a united front in support of men’s health, inspiring everyone to get involved and support our fundraising drive this Movember.”
In a year dominated by political instability and the cost-of-living crisis, Movember is calling on Mo Bros around the UK to band together in support of men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. In the UK, men die on average four years earlier than women, largely for preventable reasons, so every tattoo applied, moustache grown, event or challenge organised, drives conversations, and raises much-needed funds and awareness of men’s health issues, which ultimately saves lives.
Whatever you grow will save a bro, whether that be sporting a temporary tattoo or fluffing up your facial hair!
