12 Nov Inside today’s Remembrance Sunday service in Harlow
by Dan Bryans
The annual Remembrance Sunday service will take place in Harlow later today.
The service which honours the memory of members of the Armed Forces who gave their lives for their country will take place at the Netteswell Cross war memorial in the Town Park on 12 November 2017.
Proceedings are expected to start with a parade setting off from Burnt Mill Academy and making its way to the memorial for the service, which begins at 10.45am.
During the service, poppy wreaths will be laid at the base of the cross by local dignitaries and representatives of the Armed Forces.
Adding to the day’s proceedings, The Harlow branch of the Royal British Legion is holding a Remembrance Day concert service tonight from 7.30pm at the Harlow Playhouse.
This will be commemorating all those who have given their lives since WW1 and the many conflicts since.
