08 May Historic Chelmsford Car Park Set To Close
Chelmsford’s historic Wharf Road Surface Car Park is set to close later this month council bosses have confirmed.
Chelmsford City Council have announced that Wharf Road Surface Car Park (the one next door to ERO) will close on Sunday 28 May.
The site has been sold and will be redeveloped as housing. This comes merely days after The Genesis Housing Association development was reported to be progressing well as it will bring 650 new houses to Chelmsford, the multi story tower seton the former Anglia Ruskin University site is the latest in various housing developments across Chelmsford.
The car park which was one of twenty five maintained by the council will be issuing further information to make adjusting to this change as smooth as possible including details of alternative nearby car parks.
