24 Aug ESSEX HOMEBUILDER CLAIMS RSPB AWARD FOR ITS NATURE-FRIENDLY GARDEN
Leading housebuilder Barratt Homes Eastern Counties has won a bronze award from the RSPB for its show home garden at High Elms Park in Hullbridge.
As part of a partnership agreement, the leading developer has worked in conjunction with renowned wildlife charity, the RSPB, to create nature friendly gardens at the development on Lower Road.
The bronze-rated three bedroom Paglesham style home includes bird and bee boxes, a native hedgerow, a scented garden and deadwood features and a compost bin.
Barratt Homes has been partnered with the RSPB since 2014. The agreement is the first of its kind in the UK and aims to boost natural habitats at Barratt Homes’ developments across the country.
Annette Hurst, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Eastern Counties, said: “We’re proud of our partnership with the RSPB which helps us ensure that we’re doing as much as we can to retain and build upon the natural habitat around our developments.
“With our show homes at High Elms Park available to view by appointment, we’re excited to show prospective buyers the potential we have as home owners to do our bit for the environment.
“Hopefully the show home gardens will be teeming with life this summer and anyone that comes to see them will be able to pick up some great tips for their new home.”
Barratt Homes has been awarded five stars from the Home Builder Federation (HBF) for the 12th year in a row and is continuing its success by working with the RSPB to make show home gardens across its operational area wildlife friendly.
Barratt Homes currently has a range of three and four bedroom homes available at High Elms Park in Hullbridge with prices starting from £429,995.
