15 Jan As BRITs nominees are revealed, Little Mix & Emeli Sandé will also be performing live
Following the BRIT Awards 2017 nominees last night here is what you need to know.
This year’s ceremony will feature live performances from Little Mix, Emeli Sandé and The 1975 on Wednesday 22 February at The O2, London.
BRITs Chairman Jason Iley said: “Today we have confirmed three of the biggest artists to perform at the BRITs. They have not only sold millions of records but they are incredible live artists renowned for their memorable performances. We are incredibly excited to welcome them to the BRITs stage.”
The list includes late legends David Bowie and Leonard Cohen- both up for the International male solo artist, posthumously. The 45-year-old transgender singer Anohni has been nominated for Best British Female solo artist.
Former One Direction star Zayn Malik has been nominated for best British single with his track, Pillowtalk. He goes up against ex Perrie Edwards’ group Little Mix with Shout Out To My Ex.
Speaking ahead of the performance Emeli Sandé said: “So thrilled to be back at the BRITs this year. Can’t wait to perform for you all!”
Skepta racked up the most nominations, gaining recognition in the British Male Solo Artist, British Breakthrough Act, and Mastercard British Album of the Year categories.
