11 Jul Basildon manufacturer New Holland donates tractor to local sports centre
Basildon-based New Holland, the manufacturers of the famous blue tractors and yellow combine harvesters, has donated a new tractor to the Runwell Sports & Social Club, based in Wickford.
The club has 17 acres of high-quality playing fields that include, three football pitches, a rugby pitch, a mini-soccer pitch and an archery range.
The new Boomer tractor will be utilised to improve maintenance on the pitches as well as throughout the grounds.
Keith Peckover, Company Secretary and Groundsman to the club said;
“It’s great to have the new tractor to help with the maintenance of our pitches, we have used it with a rotary mower to cut the grass and I plan to use it to help with the drainage equipment when the wet weather descends later in the year. It was much admired at our recent Club Fun Day by children and adults alike”.
