Warner Bros. Pictures and Christopher Nolan invited Armed Forces families to attend an exclusive screening of one of the summer’s most anticipated movies ahead of the national cinema release.
From filmmaker Christopher Nolan, the epic action thriller Dunkirk brings the story of Operation Dynamo to the big screen as it unfolds on land, sea and air utilizing a mixture of IMAX® and 65mm film.
Dunkirk opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are trapped on the beach. Their backs to the sea, they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in
A Help for Heroes beneficiary, who has been supported by Chavasse VC House in Colchester, said: “I was really grateful for the tickets as it gave the family something to look forward to; it was just what we needed. We had a brilliant night and really enjoyed the film”.
The regional screenings follow the worldwide premiere of Dunkirk, where two veterans and Help for Heroes beneficiaries, Louis Nethercott and Gemma Morgan, walked the red carpet with HRH Prince Henry of Wales.
