14 Jan Festival of fun and fitness coming to Harlow
Women and girls in Harlow are being invited to attend a ‘Women Like Us’ festival, following the successful debut of the format last year. The Harlow festival is being held on Saturday 2nd February between 11am and 2:30pm at Paringdon Sports Club, Paringdon Road.
From G Jive Dance and Boxercise, to Yoga and Gregory Fit, the free festival will be a fun way to try out a range of sports and activities with the aim of encouraging girls and women to either try something new or take their first steps to becoming more active in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
The festival in Harlow is one of a series taking place around the county inspired by the national This Girl Can Campaign and organised by Active Harlow.
They will showcase some of the fantastic activities and sports available in the local community, including Jump Fit, Pilates, Walking Rugby and Circuit Blast, as well as delivering health and wellbeing workshops. Stay on after to discuss the festival and activities with a glass of prosecco and cheese tasting.
There are now well over 170 This Girl Can Essex active and engaged ambassadors across the county who inspire women in their local community to get active, meet new people and have fun. The ambassador programme is run by Active Essex, the county sport partnership, with the aim to change one million lives by getting Essex active.
