ACL Essex Offers Online Events during National Apprenticeship Week

01 Feb ACL Essex Offers Online Events during National Apprenticeship Week

Adult education provider, ACL Essex, is hosting an online event for people interested in applying for an apprenticeship on Tuesday 8th February 4-5:30pm and an event for employers looking to recruit new or upskill staff on Thursday 10th February 4-5:30pm, as part of National Apprenticeship Week.

ACL Essex has a range of apprenticeships including; health medical and care, customer service, business administration, IT, early years and education, leadership and management and project management. The events will look at available apprenticeships, funding, success stories, common misconceptions, delivery model and will include a question and answer session.

ACL Essex works in partnership with locally-based organisations to support the delivery of apprenticeships. The training programmes help to upskill new and existing members of staff, which also helps to increase staff morale, retention and loyalty within the organisation.

Cllr Tony Ball, Essex County Council’s Cabinet Member for Education Excellence and Skills, explains:
“Apprenticeships are a great option, not only because they benefit the less-experienced employees who are looking to develop their skills, it also provides the employer with some fresh new perspectives and ideas.”

He continued: “Apprenticeships naturally prepare an individual to continue learning and developing their skills once an apprenticeship is complete. The system of learning both on and off the job, as well as continuous review, becomes a way of working for apprentices, which they’ll continue throughout their career.”

ACL Essex offers a wide range of qualifications and skills at their centres across the county and online. They also offer apprenticeships and professional learning, as well as core subjects, such as English, Maths, Science and Digital Skills.

There’s also supported learning for people with learning difficulties, creative and cultural learning, mental health and wellbeing, plus community and family learning.
