Poorly children gave a big thumbs up after a huge selection of new books were kindly donated to Basildon University Hospital.
Independent Usborne representative, Jo Judge, decided to approach businesses for donations as part of a community pledge.
Topped up with her commission and company freebies, she managed to raise £165 in just three months and donated around 40 books.
Jo said: “There are books for all ages; I tried to make the selection as diverse as possible. I’m really pleased I’ve been able to help out and hope I can do so again in the future.”
