Yinka Williams ‘Takes Charge’ with new feel good anthem

With her powerhouse soul pop vocals, Yinka Williams is an incredible live performer who boasts appearance at Proud & the O2 arena in London amongst her list of achievements to date.

In 2014 she wowed the judges of The Voice UK and following this appearance she was approached to work with a string of producers including VekonyZ. The collaboration resulted in the duo winning best electronic single at the Hungarian Music Awards. In 2015 Yinka also came third in the popular Miss Caribbean UK competition which has led to a number of sponsorship and endorsement opportunities.

Eager of make her mark internationally, Yinka is no stranger to traveling far and wide having previously featured in an award winning Supremes tribute act with performances all over the world, Yinka has now turned her attentions to writing her own original material. Having already released an acoustic EP last summer, Yinka has turned up the tempo for 2016 with the release of her new single ‘Take Charge’. The dance-pop anthem has already received great reviews and is gaining lots of interest from radio stations and media alike.

“This song is very personal to me, I wrote it at a point in my life when I had had enough of the empty promises and unfulfilled projects. For me this song is all about taking control of your own life and carving your way. At the end of the day you can have all the support from the people around you but in the end it’s up to you to take charge of your life and make your own dreams come true!”, said Yinka.
