24 Oct X Factor star brings Christmas to Braintree
It’s nearly time for the biggest and brightest event on Freeport Braintree’s calendar! The Celebrity Switch-On with Essex X Factor and I’m A Celebrity star Stacey Solomon will take place on Thursday 16 November 2017.
The festivities get underway from 6pm with your favourite hosts, Martin and Su from Heart FM on the main stage building the anticipation and expectation before the switch is flicked at 7.30pm and Freeport’s beautiful displays of colourful lights shine in the darkness.
However, the real fun starts from 4pm with a series of family-friendly activities and entertainment that younger visitors will find truly magical. Collect the kids after school and pop down to the premier outlet village for sack-loads of free fun. Climb up into Santa’s Giant Chair for a photo, meet Rudolph, Donna and Blitzen plus Santa’s other amazing reindeer and take part in a craft-making session.
And don’t forget to pick up a glowstick, as you’ll need that to wave during the switch on itself…
