This month, Westgate Healthcare homes have been showing their support for Pride Month.
Staff and residents have been getting involved to celebrate diversity and inclusiveness in their homes. Byron House Care Home in Aylesbury have enjoyed colourful parties with refreshments and meaningful activities to celebrate individuality in the home. Home Manager, Kyla, said “Diversity and inclusiveness are important to highlight, and our carers and staff are looking forward to the further pride celebrations that we have planned over the course of June.”
Byron’s sister home Hampden Hall Care Centre, has also been supporting Pride Month with the help of staff and residents. Activities Lead, Lucie, said “At Hampden Hall, we’re celebrating Pride Month in style! We are a home that is inclusive to all, and we’re proudly celebrating with both our staff and residents. To kick off pride month, our residents have been rainbow scarf dancing!”
Westgate Healthcare ensures all those living in their homes, including those from the LGBTQ+ community, feel safe, celebrated, valued, accepted, and encouraged to continue living their lives with no judgment.
