#Essex: @visitparks need your vote

09 Sep #Essex: @visitparks need your vote

Four of Essex’s best loved parks are up for nomination in the Green Flag, People’s Choice award 2016.

As part of the 20th anniversary of the Green Flag award, current award winning parks and green spaces are eligible to be named one of the UK’s ten most popular and favourite parks.
Essex Country Parks are encouraging the public to vote for Danbury, Great Notley, Cudmore Grove and Belhus Country Parks and celebrate the green space that Essex offers.
Voting closes at noon on Friday 30 September with the ten winners being announced in October.
Essex County Councillor Simon Walsh, Cabinet Member for Environment and Waste said: “It would be fantastic to see any one of our four award winning Essex County Parks in the top ten UK parks.
We know from visitor numbers and feedback how popular our parks are and we work hard to ensure they are well maintained, provide great events and activities and tranquillity and space for those seeking some time out.
They are a fantastic resource for our residents so I’d encourage everyone to go online and vote and let’s get Essex the recognition it deserves!”
To vote, visit www.greenflagaward.org select your country or region on the interactive map, find your favourite park or green space, click on more details and click the ‘vote for this site’ button.
