13 Apr Visit Essex Partners with Top Attractions to Boost Tourism
The county’s tourist organisation, Visit Essex has partnered with top attractions in Essex to get people to think about Essex as a holiday or short break destination.
Visit Essex is running a series of promotional activities to encourage visitors to take a short break in the county and will be running an exciting competition to win a four-night break for a family at Mersea Island Holiday Park with Away Resorts. The prize includes a canoeing or kayaking session for a family of four with Mersea Island Watersports, as well as complimentary tickets to Colchester Castle and Colchester Zoo.
The competition winner can enjoy the holiday park’s amenities, including a refreshing indoor heated swimming pool, an exciting adventure playground, and close proximity to a private beach with extraordinary sea views.
Councillor Mark Durham, Chairman, Visit Essex, says: “This is another amazing opportunity to showcase the best of our county and a great offer for families. The winner would experience a delightful historic tour of Colchester Castle, visit a variety of exotic animals at Colchester Zoo, and explore the unique coastline with Mersea Island Watersports.
“It’s an excellent chance to get away, explore Essex and make memories that will last a lifetime.”
The competition follows the launch of a new film promoting Essex as a destination for a short break or holiday.
