07 Mar Ukrainian flag raised as Harlow town unites in its support for Ukraine
The flag of Ukraine has been raised outside the Civic Centre as the town continues to show its support for the country and Ukrainian people.
The flag was raised ahead of Harlow Council’s Cabinet meeting on Thursday night (3 March 2022).
In a show of united political support for Ukraine, Councillor Russell Perrin, Leader of Harlow Council, and Councillor Chris Vince, Leader of the Opposition on Harlow Council, recently issued a statement of support for those affected by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
In response to demand from residents wishing to make donations of essential supplies to help Ukrainian people, the council is looking to open a local donation point at the Civic Centre. Further information will follow.
