12 Apr Two officers from Southend Local Policing Team praised for helping a woman in distress
Two officers from Southend Local Policing Team have been praised for helping a woman in distress!
Just after 7am on Saturday, April 7, Pc Dean Young and a colleague were called to East Street after reports of a woman in distress in her dressing gown. A member of the public was concerned for the woman and called our Force Control Room to get help.
When Dean and his colleague arrived at the scene, they quickly located the woman and tried to understand what had happened. Not being able to attain many details from the woman, Dean persuaded her to sit in the warmth of the police car.
Later, an ambulance arrived and took her to hospital to receive medical treatment.
