Blair who has previously held a role as envoy to the Middle East for the Quartet of the EU, the US, Russia and the United Nations is thought to be able to offer experience which team Trump could really use especially with negotiating peace with the Middle East.
A spokesman for Mr Blair, who is currently in the Middle East has already rushed to his defence saying “We do not comment on private meetings.”
News of these secret meetings come weeks after it was emerged that Tony Blair would make a return to frontline politics, Mr Blair, who wants a second referendum and has pledged to campaign to keep the UK in the EU, delivered his latest attack on Brexit in a powerful speech to Remain supporters last month.
