Toilets in Clacton town centre re-open to the public after £90K refurbishment

30 Nov Toilets in Clacton town centre re-open to the public after £90K refurbishment

Toilets in Clacton town centre re-open to the public tomorrow (Thursday, November 29) after being refurbished.

Tendring District Council (TDC) has spent £90,000 revamping the facilities in Rosemary Road as part of its Public Convenience Strategy.

Improvements to the amenity include state-of-the-art all-in-one hand driers and washers, new flooring, more hygienic wall coverings and better ventilation and lighting.

The toilets are being re-opened almost four weeks ahead of schedule after hard work by the contractors, OPL Commercial.

Mick Skeels, TDC Cabinet Member for Leisure and Tourism, said the refurbished toilets were a facility the town could be proud of.

“Refurbishing these much-used public toilets was a big priority for us following feedback from users and local businesses,” Cllr Skeels said.
