21 Sep The World’s Most Rubbish Bar is BACK and MORE RUBBISH than ever!
Award-winning zero waste spirits brand, Discarded Spirits Co., bring back their immersive sustainable drinks experience to London Cocktail Week
Beauty is in the eye of the… banana peel!
Discarded Spirits Co. are transforming discarded ingredients into award-winning zero-waste spirits, and also into an immersive journey into the beautiful world of waste – a.k.a. The World’s Most Rubbish Bar! Live from the 20th – 22nd October this London Cocktail Week.
Come have your perceptions of waste reframed and see why sustainability does not mean sacrifice… from delectable zero-waste cocktails courtesy of leading sustainable bars – Nine Lives, Little Mercies, and Little Red Door from Paris – through to art created out of waste (you’ll be invited to become a rubbish artist yourself!), through to bins transformed into discos… it’s all in the aid of Discarded’s mission to reverse needless waste.
You’ll even get to taste The World’s BIGGEST Rubbish Cocktail straight out of the bin! Created through the Discarded Circular Cocktail Economy – where they source ingredients from local bars and restaurants previously destined for the bin and transform them into delectable cocktails that will make you think twice about chucking away those banana peels.
It doesn’t stop there… you’ll sip through and immerse yourself in each of the utterly delicious liquids – Discarded Grape Skin Vodka, Discarded Banana Peel Rum, and Discarded Sweet Cascara Vermouth – each made by reusing waste from the wine industry, the whisky industry and the coffee industry. And you’ll learn how to create your own tasty zero-waste ingredients at home.
It’s not just the drinks that are totally rubbish… from a pop-up bar made from repurposed whisky barrels with a crushed can top, chandeliers crafted from used Discarded bottles and broken whisky barrel hoops, cushions created from clothing destined for landfill… each element champions Discarded’s mission to reuse creatively.
Discarded believes you can be playful and purposeful at once, so be ready for a party as it’s time to celebrate with a boogie around the Discarded Disco bin!
Because… Waste Tastes Beautiful.

On bringing back the bar to London Cocktail Week, Sasha Filimonov, Brand Manager for Discarded Spirits Co. said: “By being more resourceful we can unlock undiscovered flavours whilst creatively reusing ingredients that would otherwise be discarded. As consumers increasingly consider the environmental impact of all aspects of their lives, they can now choose a spirit that is not only great tasting but feel reassured it gives back to the planet too. We’re so excited to bring back The World’s Most Rubbish Bar and show eco-conscious consumers how waste, taste and purpose beautifully collide.”
Calum Fraser, Discarded UK Ambassador, adds: “The World’s Most Rubbish Bar has been so well received by consumers and bartenders alike so far – and we hope that we will inspire guests to rethink how they perceive waste. Our ambition is to help people to think creatively about how they can reuse their everyday ‘waste’ – and discover new flavours and experiences along the way.”
