19 Oct The University of Essex ranks in the top 50 for the social sciences
The University of Essex is ranked in the top 50 for the social sciences in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019.
This is the second year running Essex is ranked in the top 50 – sitting at 47th – and we’re also ranked 51st for law and 151st-175th for business and economics.
Executive Dean for Social Sciences, Professor Moya Lloyd, said: “Our Faculty of Social Sciences at Essex is world-leading and committed to delivering research excellence while providing our students with a transformative educational experience.”
Professor Lloyd added “We’re attracting more students than ever before and we’re investing in new academic staff so it is great our global reputation is underlined by this latest ranking.”
Essex was ranked in the top 300 overall in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019, announced last month.
