20 Jun The Sounds of Essex free youth festival returns to Chelmsford
The Sounds of Essex free youth festival is back in Chelmsford on Saturday 30 June.
A collaboration between Essex Music Education Hub, Essex Youth Service and Young Essex Assembly the event is a celebration of young music making and youth culture while promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.
From 10am to 6pm in Central Park, Chelmsford there will be a range of activities to enjoy – rides, photo booths, caricature artists, a climbing wall and graffiti sessions – all set against the backdrop of an ever changing soundtrack from young music makers in Essex.
Once the day time activities end the festival continues at 7pm with a free concert in Chelmsford Cathedral of Island an oratorio by Jeremy Harmer and Phil Toms performed by Essex school choirs and orchestras.
