24 Oct THE REYTONS ANNOUNCE THEIR BIGGEST EVER SHOW AT SHEFFIELD’S UTILITA ARENA
After months of speculation, The Reytons have finally announced their next iconic hometown show, this time taking on Sheffield Arena in September 2023. Tickets go on general sale 10am Friday 28 October, via the band’s website (TheReytons.com) and various ticketing outlets, including gigsandtours.com, ticketmaster.co.uk and eventim.co.uk
Their last South Yorkshire show was the 4,500 strong Magna back in May, which incidentally sold out in only 10 hours, and proved to be a spectacle of its own. But now, with a new album on the way, an army of fans growing by the second and nearly 1 million Spotify listeners every single month, it’s time for the ‘Kids Off The Estate’ to go further.
The rise through South Yorkshire’s, and indeed the entire UK’s, venues has been nothing short of meteoric. The journey began with 350 people at Plug (now Network), via The Leadmill, O2 Academy and Magna, before reaching the 12,500 capacity Utilita Arena. Judging by the energy and atmosphere of all those previous shows, this will surely be a night to remember.
Releasing 100% independently, with no label backing, The Reytons have announced their second album is set for release on 27th January 2023, just over 12 months since their debut album rocketed to Number 11 in the Official UK Charts, with over 20,000 sales to date.
Since the release of their debut album ‘Kids Off The Estate’ in November 2021, The Reytons have gone from strength to strength, the word of mouth sensation spreading like wildfire throughout the UK. The band now boast an impressive 750k+ monthly listeners on Spotify, however this online popularity is far from superficial. Over 17,000 fans are set to see the band live on their huge sold out UK tour this Autumn, including landmark dates at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom, London’s Electric Ballroom and Nottingham’s Rock City, to name just a few.
A host of huge festival dates in the summer, including the likes of TRNSMT, Neighbourhood Weekender and Y Not Festival, plus some huge support dates with Gerry Cinnamon and The Libertines have left an army of fans clamouring for new music.
Setting The Reytons apart from the competition is their fiercely independent approach to the way they work. Not exactly welcomed with open arms by the industry from the very start, the band channel their working class grit and determination to overcome every obstacle thrown at them. Aided by the masses of loyal fans, no achievement is out of reach.
