We had a chat with them!

What first got you into music and the Murder Bots?
Hi guys. The band has had a long history or playing in hard rock/metal bands in New York and southern California. Eventually this lead into a career in the tribute band world where we learned how to work big crowds and the entertainment side of the business.

Were there any particular bands or artists you took inspiration from?
Our Biggest influence would probably have to be NIne inch nails. Trent Reznor’s approach to everything is just so ahead of his time.

How would you describe your musical styleand the Murder Bots?
We starting experimenting with fusing our metal influences with some of the heavier electronic music that we currently like and created a new sound. THE MURDER BOTS was formed.

If you could collaborate with any living artist, who would it be?
Trent Reznor for sure !

Tell us about your new single, ‘Do What You Want To Do’. What’s it about, what are its themes?
Do Whar You Want To Do” has multiple meanings and layers. But primarily is about releasing the inner animal inside us.

When did you write it and where did you record it?
The album was self recorded and self produced here in Southern California in 2018/2019. The songs all have a very futuristic storyline.

How does ‘Do What You Want To Do’ represent your style?
To us it sounds like the future, Very confused and disconnected, but still FUN.

What are your hopes for the new single ‘DoWhat You Want To Do”?
We would love to see this single become an anthem to the youth of tomorrow.

What can you tell us about your plans for the rest of 2019?
THE MURDER BOTS have taken the long road and have taken no short cuts. We have thousands of shows under our belt from our tribute bands and now are ready to take on the world. It’s time to bring Hard Rock/Metal back with a fresh new sound. Release THE MURDER BOTS !!

Finally, if you could go back in time and give yourself one piece of advice, when would it be and what would you say?
I would have to say just to enjoy the ride. There is no finish line in life.
