The Brentwood Centre has welcomed a new health programme!
Chat 1st was borne of a vision to bring together the best of The Brentwood Centre and it’s inclusive projects.
The Brentwood Centre has long been a model of inclusivity within the leisure industry. The next step was to create a way to champion the great work being done and also to provide a single point of entry for people looking to get involved in physical activity; a place where you could turn if you weren’t quite sure of the support available to you.
Evie Taylor leads on the Chat 1st Youth Programme and said:
“Things have never been more exciting in our Youth Department, there is so much to tell you about! The ever popular Friday Night Takeover is running so just come along on the day and join in. We’re here every Friday in term time from 5pm-7pm for Year 7 to Year 11’s.
We have launched a football club, a running club and a yoga class all for Year 7 to Year 11’s. Not forgetting our Autism Friendly Gym and Fitness Bootcamps for 12 to 19 year olds running weekly as well.
Last weekend we celebrated these new Chat 1st events at our FREE Youth Sports Festival on Sunday 20th January which was a great success.
Our youth department has never been busier and we look forward to seeing lots of new faces!”
