23 Apr Tactical voting site could impact Essex voters in General Election
Two Essex constituencies could be impacted by a new tactical voting website which was launched to advise voters which party to vote for in their local area to see the conservatives lose.
Clacton MP Douglas Carswell who quit UKIP earlier this year announced that he would be stepping down at the general election which leaves the Clacton seat open to exploitation whilst Brentwood & Ongar MP Sir Eric Pickles called time on his 25 years of parliamentary service meaning this seat could also be hotly contested.
Now tactical website Tactical2017 which is on a mission to “stop the Tories” has warned that these two Essex seats could be taken away from the Conservatives, this comes amidst reports that Gina Miller has now raised almost £250,000 to support anti-Brexit candidates in the general election.
Tactical2017 suggested that UKIP could take Clacton with a new candidate as UKIP millionaire backer Aaron Banks has suggested he might run, whilst voters in Brentwood & Ongar could take the seat away from the Tories by voting labour.
