5 Star Basketball Academy are thrilled that our U11s regional basketball teams, headed up by coaches Greg and Julie Nagle, achieved amazing success in the Harlow Central Venue League with the White Leopards coming 2nd and the Black Leopards coming 3rd!
They have been a dedicated team throughout the season and are a credit to 5 Star and the basketball arena. Many of the players now move up to play for the U12s boys and U12s girls teams and we have no doubt each player will continue to develop, both mentally and physically, and will continue being successful both on and off the basketball court. At 5 Star we proud ourselves in equipping young people to make vital lifestyle choices through basketball which can lead to a long, healthy and active life and we are so thankful for having such wonderful players and parents who support our ethos and are key to us running a popular and successful basketball programme.
One of their coaches told us ‘Working as a Coach for 5 Star is a fantastic opportunity. We have both enjoyed this season immensely and learned so much about so many things! Passing on our experience and knowledge about Basketball, sport, fitness and wellbeing to the players has been a joy. Seeing the kids grow into a team and sharing the process with them has been a special experience.
After finishing the season with a record of 33 wins and 7 losses the Brentwood Leopards U11 Mixed teams season has come to an end. Our girls and boys learned to play together and will now be moving up to full court action for the 2016/17 season playing for our boys and girls U12 teams. Contemplating what they will achieve next season fills us with excitement! They improved at a phenomenal rate this season, keep it going guys!’
