02 Feb Stansted Airport to host face to face Jobs Fair in the week when COVID travel curbs are lifted
In the week COVID travel restrictions are eased, London Stansted is set to host its first face to face Jobs Fair in two years as it gears up for what is expected to be a busy summer.
300 security officer roles will be showcased along with hundreds of jobs with more than a dozen other companies operating at the airport.
The event will be attended by airlines, ground handlers, aviation contractors, and service providers.
Among them are Ryanair, Harrods Aviation, Jet2.com, HMSHost, Swissport, National Express, DUFRY, Hampton by Hilton, Up & Away Aviation, ABM, Travelex, WHSmith and SSP.
Visitors to the Jobs Fair will have the opportunity to interact directly with employers, who will be able to answer any questions they may have.
They will also learn what employers are looking for from job applicants, which will boost their chances of getting employment at the airport.
Marcella M’Rabety, MAG’s Group Head of Education, Skills and Employment, said:
“London Stansted is delighted to be hosting this Jobs Fair to give people access to as many amazing opportunities as possible. This will be the first face-to-face recruitment event we’ve held since before the pandemic.
“With the travel restrictions set to be eased from next week, we expect demand to bounce back very quickly at Stansted and are recruiting ahead of what we hope will be a busy summer.
“An airport job is a perfect fit for people with strong people skills, drive for success, and an interest in building an exciting career in aviation.
“Airports offer loads of variety, bags of opportunity, and a fantastic team that is there to support you.
“Our virtual jobs fair in January was well-received and booked up fast, so you need to sign-up quickly to avoid disappointment.”
A wide range of benefits are also available to successful candidates who join MAG.
Benefits include up to 80% discount on public transport, free parking at work and when you go on holiday, a pension scheme, retail discounts, free upskilling training programmes, and many more.
The event will be held at the airport’s Hampton By Hilton Hotel between 11am and 3pm on Wednesday, February 9.
Visitors will be offered free travel on public transport and free parking will also be available at the venue.
