05 Jul Stansted Airport event draws in £5m of new business
London Stansted Meet the Buyers 2016 has been hailed as the most successful ever with local firms on track to secure almost £5 million worth of new business.
A report carried out six months on from the event reveals that an anticipated £4.8 million worth of contracts involving companies from the East of England and the wider South East will be signed.
The event, which took place in October 2016, saw almost 200 businesses from small start-ups right through to larger companies attend in the hope of securing deals with organisations!
Chris Wiggan of Stansted Airport said: “We are absolutely delighted with the figures from our record breaking London Stansted Meet the Buyers 2016 event. This is yet another fantastic example of how Stansted can support local companies by providing a platform to come and talk with a wide range of businesses and showcase what they can offer in terms of products and services”
