25 Jul Special tea dance staged at Clacton Town Hall
Clacton’s Princes Theatre played host to a second tea dance to honour Tendring’s World War Two veterans.
Around 80 veterans and guests made the most of a special afternoon at the theatre in Station Road today.
Among those attending were six recipients of the Legion D’Honneur, France’s highest decoration, which was established in 1802 by Napoleon Bonaparte.
They were Ron Pole, John Stansfield, Frederick Johnson, George Ilsley and Ron Hendry from Clacton and John Priore from Manningtree.
