01 Mar Skills Minister to promote apprenticeship benefits at Harlow event
Local businesses are invited to attend a special event on Friday 3 March 2017 in Harlow to hear about the benefits to businesses of apprenticeships.
The event, which will be held at the Civic Centre in Harlow at 10am, will be chaired by Councillor Tony Durcan, Portfolio Holder for Regeneration and Enterprise. Key speakers include the Rt Hon Robert Halfon MP, Minister of State for Higher Education, Skills, Apprenticeships and Careers; the Chair of the South East Local Ambassador Network for the National Apprenticeship Service, Phil Warnock, and Executive Director of Business Development, Harlow College, Will Allanson.
Businesses will also hear from apprentices about how they have benefitted from their apprenticeships.
Information given about how apprenticeships are changing, and how these changes can further benefit businesses.
The event will tie in with National Apprenticeships Week, which runs from 6-10 March 2017. National Apprenticeship Week is co-ordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service and is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and traineeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
