19 Feb Saffron Walden student follows in footsteps of stars of the stage and screen
A teenage student from Saffron Walden will be taking part in a Festival of Contemporary Theatre at one of the UK’s most prestigious performing arts schools.
Georgina Parry will be performing in the Six on Six Contemporary Theatre Festival, which is taking place from 27 February – 8 March.
Georgina is a student on the Sixth Form Acting Course at Tring Park, whose alumni include Lily James (Disney’s Cinderella and Juliet in Kenneth Branagh’s Romeo and Juliet at the Garrick) and Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the Last Jedi and Murder on the Orient Express).
The Six on Six Festival will see Tring Park acting students perform six plays in six days at Tring Park’s very own Markova Theatre in the grounds of the school, which is housed in a former Rothschild mansion built to a design of Sir Christopher Wren in 1685.
Georgina will be starring in Way Upsteam by legendary British playwright by Alan Ayckbourn.
The play focuses on two couples navigating the trials and tribulations of life and relationships as they cruise through the English countryside in this comedy with a dark undercurrent.
The performance will take place at 7.30pm on 7 March. Tickets are £10 and are available from tringpark.com
