01 Jun Saffron Building Society Launches first Member’s Month with 9% savings account
Saffron Building Society is ‘going BIG on the little things’ with a first-of-its-kind, month-long celebration for its members.
Celebrations kicked off at Saffron Walden Town Football Club with a five-a-side football match between Saffron Building Society employees and Saffron Walden Town FC players, but it was one with a difference…a 6ft round football, demonstrating the Society’s intent to go BIG for its members in June.
Saffron is a mutual building society, which means it is owned by its members and is operated for them, with a focus on every individual’s financial wellbeing.
With members at the heart and soul of the Society, June is being taken as an opportunity for Saffron to host a month-long celebration: going BIG on the little things in a bid to reward, celebrate and thank its members.
Throughout the month there is a jam-packed schedule of activities, events, promotions, and competitions, including:
– The launch of a market-leading savings account designed to make a BIG difference to small savers – exclusively available to members
– The BIG branch roadshow where members can come to their local branch to meet and talk to Saffron CEO Colin Field
– The BIG prize draw. A £100 prize draw will take place every day in June
– A member-exclusive tea party taking place at Down Hall Hotel on 19th June with BIG special guest and rugby legend Martin Bayfield
– 150 chances to write a simple single will for free, or £150 towards a mirror will or trust with Co-op Legal Services.
Colin Field, Saffron Building Society CEO said: “We are an organisation built for and by its membership and we believe it is essential that we recognise that. We feel now is the perfect time to hold our first members’ month to give something back and reward our members for their loyalty.
While June marks the first Members’ Month event, Saffron Building Society is committed to making promises to its members throughout the year. These promises include:
– Free financial wellbeing reviews
– 14 days to change your mind on all accounts
– Penalty-free access to savings if there is a significant change to your life circumstances
– Help for younger people to start saving
– Recognising loyalty by always having at least one members-only account
Saffron Building Society has eight branches across the East of England, including Bishop’s Stortford, Brentwood, Colchester, Halstead, Haverhill, Royston, Saffron Walden, and Ware and members are more than welcome to visit their local branch to discover how Members Month can benefit them.
