21 Oct Royal nod for Brentwood Centre apprentices
Brentwood Centre’s Coach Core apprentices attended their graduation ceremony at the Olympic Stadium this week.
Our apprentices Mikaela Kennedy, Samie Jaleel & Jake Watson spent the day with HRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, British artistic gymnast and five-time Olympic medalist Max Whitlock, Judy Murray, Ade Adepitan, and cricketer Mark Turner.
The Coach Core apprenticeship scheme gives young people aged 16-24 the chance to become the next generation of inspirational coaches. Coach Core is a programme run by the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.
In July 2012 the Royal Foundation launched Coach Core; A new, innovative and exciting sports coaching apprenticeship targetting young people who wish to gain further education and employment in sport.
The Royal Foundation is working in partnership with Active Essex, the county sports partnership for Essex, who manage the “Team Essex” Coach Core programme.
