30 May Royal expert gives Queen health update ahead of Platinum Jubilee
ROYAL expert Robert Jobson has said he expects the Queen will be seen at more Jubilee events than Buckingham Place is letting on.
Mr Jobson said he would not rule out seeing the Queen at the Epsom Derby, despite reports that she may not be there.
He told GB News that he expected to see her at Trooping the Colour and the Platinum Jubilee celebration and thanksgiving service at Westminster Abbey this week.
He said: “These decisions will be made really close to the event. We’ll see her I’m sure at the Trooping [the Colour].
“Hopefully we will see her at Westminster at the religious ceremony for Thanksgiving.
“I hope we’ll see a bit more of her than the Palace is sort of suggesting we will do.
“We will certainly see other members of the Royal Family led by the Prince of Wales and Camilla, and William and Kate.”
Mr Jobson, who revealed on GB News that Prince Andrew would accompany the Queen at the thanksgiving service for Prince Phillip at Westminster Abbey in March, was speaking during an interview on Breakfast with Stephen and Anne.
Asked if he thought the rift between Prince Harry, Meghan and the rest of the family could be mended, he said: “I’m sure there’ll be fewer olive branches out but I don’t know if it’ll be mended.
“There was an awful lot that went on on The Oprah Winfrey Show and during the Epstein scandal has caused an awful lot of disquiet amongst the family. We’ll have to wait and see.”
Reacting to news that Harry and Meghan have extended the lease on Frogmore Cottage, which could be a sign of the rift being repaired, Mr Jobson said: “Maybe a bit of cake and eat it maybe, I don’t know…
“Harry certainly wants to come home a bit. But the big fallout is going to be when he writes this tell all book and if he attacks the future Queen consort, as many people are predicting – that’s certainly going to open a can of worms.
