30 Mar Romford Academy Fundraising For School Hall
The Only Way Is Up for Romford’s Bower Park Academy who are aiming to raise £25,000 to refurbish their school hall amidst headteacher Stuart McLaughlin’s defiant plans to make the school better following their latest OFSTED inspection.
With first donations already pouring in a section on the fundraiser read “You may have seen school budgets have been progressively cut over the past few years. Bower Park has always managed its budget prudently and has prioritised recruiting and retaining teachers and maintaining our smaller class sizes where possible. However, this has led to a reduction in our budget and we have not been able to refurbish the South Hall.”
The local academy have negotiated a deal to replace all the curtains, lights and sound and require some donations to finance this shortfall.
Bower Park’s headteacher told Romford Recorder “I am absolutely confident that the school will rapidly improve to achieve my goal to get to good within two years.”
