07 Oct Rock Choir Launches in CHINGFORD!
Rock Choir is the pioneering contemporary choir of the UK and remains unique with over 33,000 members participating in approximately 400 local communities. Over 80 talented professional musicians teach the Rock Choir experience, which now includes Rock Choir Leader, Sally Creedon, who has just begun teaching Rock Choir in Chingford!
Rock Choir was created 17 years ago by award winning singer and musician, Caroline Redman Lusher. Caroline is known as the woman responsible for the contemporary choir movement in this country. Caroline developed a musical, educational and social formula, which was the FIRST of its kind, that inspired individuals and communities to join together and sing pop and rock songs without the need to audition or to read music.
Rock Choir was delighted when Sally joined the team in 2021 to start teaching the Rock Choir experience in North London. Sally auditioned and applied to be a Rock Choir Leader, at a time when she had found all her live music work had been postponed due to the Covid Pandemic. As one half of the British Carpenters, one of the busiest cover bands in the UK, Sally needed an additional challenge and immediately fell in love with the Rock Choir culture and ethos and received a caring and enthusiastic welcome from the Rock Choir Members!
Now Sally is back touring the country as Karen Carpenter and teaching her Rock Choir Members in 4 locations across Essex and North London including the brand-new location of Chingford.
“I am so excited to teach Rock Choir in the brand-new location of Chingford! We are welcoming new members all the time and I would love to invite anyone with an interest in singing to come along and try us out. I can guarantee, you will leave the rehearsal room energised, happier and over time your self-esteem and confidence will also increase as we work towards some live performances (for those that want to take part in them!).
I am also looking forward to getting involved in the local community to raise much needed funds for projects and charities in our area.
Teaching the Rock Choir repertoire is pure joy! Singing with Rock Choir also gives an opportunity to make friends and socialise with like-minded people. Come along for a FREE taster session and it could be just the thing you’re looking for. Everyone is welcome!”

It’s an exciting year coming up as Members are currently working towards a gig of a lifetime, (which Sally will be preparing them for) at the Birmingham NEC in December 2023. Rock Choir Members from all across the country will come together to perform as one choir at the famous arena, along with some surprise celebrity guests. Any new members that join Rock Choir in the North London area will also have the chance to take part in this memorable event!
Rock Choir is built on an uplifting ethos of family, fun, friendship and community spirit with members enjoying a busy social life as well as huge improvements in personal confidence and self-esteem, which in turn leads to positive mental and physical health. For many of the thousands taking part, Rock Choir has become a lifeline.
Members who join will experience and have the opportunity to perform at not only local events, but they will also be connected to the national Rock Choir, which will offer them a chance to sing as one choir with the 33,000 other members in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
