Harlow MP, Robert Halfon used his Westminster Hall debate to urge the Government to fund a new hospital in Harlow.
Mr Halfon held a debate on capital funding for a new hospital in Harlow.
The Health Minister, Philip Dunne has since confirmed that Princess Alexandra Hospital’s proposal for a new hospital has been submitted and further decisions will be made after the Autumn Budget.
Mr Halfon said, “The doctors, the nurses, the management team and support staff at the Princess Alexandra Hospital work so hard every single day but their working lives are made so much harder by the Hospital’s deteriorating facilities. As I promised in the General Election, I have been working hard to secure capital funding for a new hospital in Harlow.”
Mr Halfon added “I am delighted to have been granted this debate to continue working towards delivering a new Harlow health campus which would bring health care in Harlow into the 21st Century and protect our NHS for another 50 years.”
