02 Apr Review: The Piano Works, Farringdon
Boasting of central London settings whilst having a warm urban feel is always one way to my heart.
An artistic venue where you are not only treated to good food and an eloquent cocktail bar but the added bonus of some of the countries most finest pianists are on hand to play your favourite songs at your request, ladies and gentleman please pray silence for The Piano Works in Farringdon, were the mood setting is equally fitting for a fully fledged night out in the same respect it is for a few cocktails after a hard days work.
Arriving to a warm reception shortly after 6pm I was delighted to learn it was still Cocktail Hour, what’s that I hear you ask ?! It’s where all manner of cocktails are £5 whilst you can snap up a bottle of wine, the Porn Star Martini proved richly flavoured whilst it warmed me up for my selection of bar food.
With a bar menu one could only dream of I opted for the Chicken Satay Skewers (£15.50) and a portion of fries (£3.50), my waiting time was almost unrecognisable as I was distracted with the talented pianists who let the good times roll and for a Tuesday night it felt quite close to being a weekend.
The Verdict:
4.5 out of 5
“An eloquent and convivial bar boasting of world class entertainment and cocktails”
How much: For a couple of drinks and a main of the bar menu – £30
