For somewhere that has only been open a matter of months, Pivaz really has got its act together.

Making their mark on the outskirts of Epping high street the new Mediterranean restaurant chain counts Prezzo amongst its neighbours however the exquisite décor and high end design of the restaurant makes it stand out from the outside prior to entrance.

After a morning of running around and dealing with general office stress I thought a trip down to Pivaz was in order, from entering the restaurant I was greeted by a friendly member of staff and shown to my table.
Setting
It’s hard to fault the ambience of this newly renovated building.
Pivaz modernisation provides a cosy retreat for winter comfort whilst their exquisite seating with a high street view will surely be a summer hit.
The warm interior comfortably distracts from the fact the restaurant is situated directly on a busy high street and provides a relaxed atmosphere suitable for families with children and diners of all ages.
Service was warm, friendly and attentive throughout our meal.

Starters
I opted for AVOCADO AND PRAWN COCKTAIL as starters, this quite practically priced at £7.00- I found my portions filling and served elegantly in the restaurant’s fine dining plates. My starter was served within minutes whilst me and a colleague settled into the wine. My colleague Matthew took the healthier high road and had the KISIR which was priced at £5.00.

Mains
My mains consisted of the LOBSTER THERMIDOR (£38) which was freshly prepared Lobster, flamed in brandy with creamy white wine sauce, herbs and mushroom. There was a small wait for the dish as with most mains but it was well worth the wait.

Desserts
The final course was the highlight of the evening for both of us.

Feeling full after my rich main course, I went for the STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING (£6) which I found very rich in toffee whilst carrying a strong sense of visual attraction.
The verdict
This particular Pivaz restaurant provides a comfortable and exquisite atmosphere with excellent service, it’s a good choice for those who demand the best when they dine out.
