09 May REVIEW: Caraway Lounge, Romford
by Dan Bryans
Could Caraway Lounge, be one of the good things Romford is holding onto? My trip to the restaurant proved not only fruitful but was rather economically friendly.
The setting:
Set a 10min walk away from Romford station I found it rather well, greeted by an opulently refurbished restaurant and modern day eatery, inside the use of the silk, velvet and exquisite tables and the latest in dining amenities.
The Menu:
An elegant wide selection of authentic Indian food awaited. The selection was out of this world with an extended Non-vegetarian menu to hand to. I had the mixed grill to start with which was a mixture of meat (yummmm!), For mains I had Karahi Chicken (£6.95) with Egg fried rice (£3.50) and had side services of Garlic Naan (£1.95). When time for dessert came I had to withhold myself as I was just to full. The full experience with drinks cost £30
The Experience:
Excellent staff and very professional, they helped me chose my dishes and I found their allergy advise useful.
THE VERDICT: 4.5/5
“An opulent eatery with an equally tongue tickling menu, and who says such lavish dining needs to cost a lot.”
Fancy popping in?
