27 Sep Refill Revolution Comes To CHELMSFORD
MP for Chelmsford Vicky Ford will join teams from Essex & Suffolk Water and the Essex Waste Partnership at the official launch of Refill Chelmsford on Saturday 29 September.
Refill is the national tap water campaign that aims to make refilling on the go as easy, cheap and convenient as possible. The scheme is creating a national network of cafes, shops, hotels and other businesses that will refill your reusable water bottle for free – reducing our reliance on single use plastics.
Participating businesses can register on the Refill app and display a sticker in their window to show that they offer free tap water. The Refill app will show you where your nearest Refill station is – the grand plan is to have a Refill station on every street in Chelmsford!
To celebrate the launch of #RefillChelmsford teams from Essex & Suffolk Water and the Essex Waste Partnership will be on Chelmsford High Street all day on Saturday 29 September, to talk about all things Refill and encouraging some of the city’s local shops, restaurants and cafes to get involved.
To celebrate National Refill Day on Thursday 27 September Essex & Suffolk Water will be on Brentwood High Street with Refill Brentwood volunteers to spread the word about the campaign.
