A COUPLE who run a High Street card and gift shop have been crowned one of the best in the business.
Feathering Your Nest gift, card and home accessories shop, High Street, Rayleigh won the independent gift retailer of the year award at the luxurious celebration ceremony of the Greats Retail Awards.
The glittering award ceremony has hosted in the ballroom of Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane and attended by more than 400 retailers and industry representatives.
The shop, owned by Lesley, 53, and Chris Dunne, 54, from Rayleigh Road, Thundersley, has been on the High Street for 10 years and is an independent gift shop that offers a vintage inspired gifts and home accessories, retro music and free gift wrapping.
Mrs Dunne said: “Winning the Greats Award is a wonderful achievement for us, we are quite overwhelmed.
“We have always strived for a combination of excellent customer service and beautiful gifts so it is an honour to be recognized by the industry.
“Very many thanks to all our loyal customers who make our days fun and have supported us for 10 years.”
