Rail Minister, Lord Peter Hendy, kicks off the new series of Greater Anglia’s Life on Rails podcast

Greater Anglia’s Life on Rails podcast is back for a brand new series. Presented by Lucy Wright and Dominic Rosso from the company’s Corporate Affairs team, the Life on Rails podcast gives passengers a peek behind the curtain of one of the largest train operators in the country.

Across this third series of the magazine-style podcast, Life on Rails welcomes a wide variety of special guests who share their incredible stories. Greater Anglia employees who are at the heart of operations also explain how they have helped make Greater Anglia the most punctual train operator in the UK.

There are also special features that showcase how Greater Anglia is working tirelessly to give its passengers better journeys. Guests include fleet and operations colleagues who discuss how the new fleet of trains has helped to transform rail travel across East Anglia. Senior leaders from the Executive Leadership Team also join the podcast, as well as representatives from Network Rail, to discuss how they are continuously investing in rail infrastructure and the role they play in helping us achieve record-breaking performance.

Each episode delves a little deeper into some recent Greater Anglia news highlights, as Lucy and Dom examine some of the company’s most talked about stories and share some previously unknown information.

In the first episode of series three, which launches today (13 October), the Life on Rails podcast welcomes the Rail Minister, Lord Peter Hendy.

On Sunday 12 October, Greater Anglia became the latest train operating company to transition into public ownership. Lord Hendy joins the podcast to discuss what this change means for Greater Anglia services and our passengers. The Rail Minister also speaks about the future of Great British Railways and how the success of Greater Anglia is something that the rest of the railway ought to aspire to.

Also, in the opening episode of the new series, Lucy and Dom speak with Greater Anglia’s Partnerships Manager, Scott Dolling. Scott joins us to discuss his role and share what Greater Anglia is doing to create a more integrated transport network that reflects the first and last mile of passengers’ journeys, as well as the core journey by train.

Greater Anglia’s Victorija Starling also pops by for a new segment called the Career Clinic. During the Career Clinic, Victorija will dive a little deeper into roles & careers at Greater Anglia.
